Innovative interface pad – Maximum power transmission instead of pseudo-effects

The specially developed interface pad on the Therminator+ polishing pads follows a clear principle: maximum and low-loss transmission of the eccentric movement . While many polishing pads rely on soft structures for vibration damping or alleged cooling – often with a noticeable loss of performance – Detail Passion focuses on real performance.

A stiff, deliberately heavy interface foam minimizes energy loss through deformation and transfers the oscillation almost completely to the paint surface. This ensures higher material removal, stable rotation, and a uniform finish instead of purely subjective comfort effects.

Targeted damping only occurs where it makes sense: the grey interface reduces vibrations via a special open-cell structure – without affecting the crucial power transmission.

Therminator+ foam – Maximum performance for every application

The Therminator+ series of polishing pads uses exclusively developed high-performance foam types that retain their structure and hardness even under extreme conditions. They are thermally stable, chemically resistant, and fully regenerative. 

Maximum power transmission combined with minimized vibration enables the targeted use of softer polishing foams without compromising material removal. This results in unprecedented comfort and a significantly improved finish across all foam types.

• Blue (Cutting): High cut with a surprisingly good finish – ideal for heavy cutting and one-step tasks, also known as ONE STEP.
• Orange (Medium/Finish): Newly developed blend for a perfect balance between cut and gloss
• Black (Finish): Additive-treated foam for maximum deep gloss

The blue and black foam types are already well-known from the Therminator series and have proven their worth. However, the orange foam has been completely redesigned for the Therminator+ series and can deliberately not be compared to the previous orange foam . In combination with the interface technology, the blue foam in particular delivers an impressive combination of cut and finish , which reduces many work steps.

Optimal height and thermal stability

With an overall height of approximately 28 mm , including the 8 mm thick interface pad , the Therminator+ polishing pad offers ideal conditions for consistent performance, even under heavy load. The elevated design ensures better heat distribution and prevents overheating, even during longer polishing cycles.
