With the DP Pro Therminator polishing pad, the German manufacturer Detail Passion picks up on the hype surrounding so-called thermally stable or thermally resistant polishing pads, but at the same time implements its own ideas. The advantages of thermally stable polishing pads are obvious. Consistently controllable paint and clear coat removal during the polishing process is guaranteed because the foam does not lose its compressive strength due to heat. This means that pressure can be maintained even at higher speeds, and therefore there is no drop in cutting performance. At the same time, the cell structure is preserved, which leads to optimal cooling and compression is also minimized.

In contrast to other polishing pads made of thermally stable foam, special attention was paid to the cell structure and the distribution of the polish in the composition of DP Pro Therminators. Despite the advantages of conventional thermal pads, the cell structure results in uneven or no distribution of the polish during start-up or distribution. This can quickly lead to unwanted dry running, especially with medium-hard pads. DP Pro Therminators are optimized for eccentrics with large strokes, such as Rupes LHR15, ShineMate EX620, Makikato POC, Flex XFE and, depending on your choice, produce impressively fast material removal or a high-gloss finish. DP Pro Therminator polishing pads can either be supplemented with powerful polishing pads made of hybrid wool or microfiber or can be used alone as a complete solution.
