What is Active 3.0?

The most important thing: Extreme water flow
One of the things that truly sets Active 3.0 apart from many other pressure washers is its water flow.
The machine delivers approximately 3.0 GPM (approx. 11.4 liters/minute)

Is Active 3.0 worth the hype?
All signs point to yes.

It is not made to impress with wild PSI numbers – but to deliver the perfect setup for safe car washing.
Is Active 3.0 perfect? The honest answer
Let's be completely honest.
No – Active 3.0 is not perfect.
And that's actually important to state.
Because even though the machine delivers impressive performance, there's one thing that detailing enthusiasts, in particular, should be aware of:
The challenge with foam cannons and high water flow
Active 3.0 delivers an extremely high volume of water.
This is a huge advantage in many situations – but it also creates a challenge.
Especially when it comes to foam cannons.
The problem is as follows:
- Water passes very quickly through the foam cannon
- This allows less time to create the necessary vacuum effect
- The result is that the foam cannon has a harder time drawing soap from the bottle
This is due to the so-called Venturi effect (or "ventricle effect," as many call it in practice).
And here's the point:
Currently, there are no foam cannons on the market designed to optimally handle the water flow that Active 3.0 delivers.
What does that mean in practice?
It doesn't mean you can't use a foam cannon.
But:
- The foam might be thinner
- You might experience less of a "shaving cream effect"
- Soap consumption might change
In short:
You'll still get foam – just not necessarily the extreme, thick layer that many detailing enthusiasts love.
Is it a dealbreaker?
No. Absolutely not.
And that's important to emphasize.
Because you still get:
- Significantly better rinsing power
- More effective pre-wash
- Less need for physical contact
- A generally better and safer washing process
For many, the benefits will clearly outweigh this drawback.
But it's worth considering
If you're the type who:
- loves ultra-thick foam
- cares about "show foam"
- or uses foam as a large part of your washing experience
... then it's a factor you should take into account.
It doesn't mean that Active 3.0 is a bad choice –
just that it's optimized for efficiency over visual foam performance.
