The new One Step polishing pads from Detail Passion are based on the well-known technology of thermally stable or thermally resistant foam. They are designed for one-step polishing work and for correcting paint defects on softer clear coats such as those from Tesla, Harley Davidson, Dodge, or Asian manufacturers. The blue thermal pads are characterized by an extremely fine open-cell foam structure and impress with an unprecedented balance between fast cutting and a very good finish.

It is difficult to classify the blue intermediate foam precisely in the list of existing foams. In many cases, the intermediate polishing pad provides the cut of the orange foam and the finish of the very soft black foam. In tests, the Intermediate Therminator polishing pads were also able to achieve perfect results when polishing PPF paint protection films.

With the DP Pro Therminator polishing pad, the German manufacturer Detail Passion picks up on the hype surrounding so-called thermally stable or thermally resistant polishing pads, while simultaneously implementing its own ideas. The advantages of thermally stable polishing pads are obvious. Consistently controllable paint and clear coat removal during the polishing process is guaranteed because the foam does not lose its compressive strength due to heat. This means that pressure can be maintained even at higher speeds, and therefore there is no drop in cutting performance. At the same time, the cell structure is preserved, which leads to optimal cooling, and compression is also minimized.

Unlike other polishing pads made of thermally stable foam, special emphasis was placed on the cell structure and the distribution of the polish in the composition of the DP Pro Therminators. Despite the advantages of conventional thermal pads, the cell structure often results in uneven or no distribution of the polish during start-up or application. This can quickly lead to unwanted dry running, especially with medium-hard pads. DP Pro Therminators are optimized for long-throw dual action polishers, such as Rupes LHR15, ShineMate EX620, Makikato POC, Flex XFE, and produce, depending on your choice, impressively fast material removal or a high-gloss finish. DP Pro Therminator polishing pads can either be supplemented with heavy-duty polishing pads made of hybrid wool or microfiber or can be used alone as a complete solution.
