Lake Country delivers another key technology with CCS, which stands for Collapsed Cell Structure. The surface of CCS pads has small pockets, the interior of which has a closed-cell structure thanks to a special process, even though the foam in the polishing pad is otherwise open-pored. This feature allows significantly more polish to be used with CCS pads. The polish enters the pocket but not into the polishing pad itself, and can therefore be used for much longer. At the same time, the cell structure is cooled more effectively, and the pad cannot dry out due to the polish drying. With the new HDO CCS pads, both technologies are available in a single pad series. The American manufacturer surprises the market with this, as the production of these pads is at the same price level as "regular" HDO pads.
